My name is Erik. In addition to being a CFI, am also an Aircraft Performance and Weight & Balance Engineer for a major US airline. I grew up in Northwest Indiana, about 25 miles from Chicago where I attended high school. After spending 4 years studying Mechanical Engineering and 1 year as a Mechanical Engineer in Madison, WI (On Wisconsin!), I moved to Chicago and started my aviation career with a major airline. As a Flight Operations Engineer, I've worked with Aircraft Performance, Weight & Balance, Flight Planning, Data Analysis, and Computer Programming.
